Nature Tales -- Preschool Program
Nature Tales 2007-2008 School year Program List
Nature Tales is a program for preschool age children.  The purpose of the
program is to get younger children interested in nature.  To achieve this, a
program has been put together that will teach children about things they find
outdoors, as well as get them to seek out more information in our local
libraries with their parents.

In doing so we would like to invite your pre-school age children to sign up for
this program.  We would like your individual(s) or group(s) to sign up if you
are able to join us at the Hurstville Interpretive Center for these programs.
These dates are also open to any stay at home caregivers or in home
daycares.
Each day will be very similar, but the activities will be different.  With the first day's theme being the Salamander
Room we will talk about the animals in the Salamander Room book.  We will start the day by playing a memory
game, then we will read the book Salamander Room.  We will use a felt board to help us talk about the characters in
the story.  When weather allows we will take a short hike out in the prairie and look for things that we have talked
about during that days event.

We would like to encourage the parents of those children who can attend to attend.  All children who attend do need
to be supervised.

To pre-register please call the Jackson County Conservation Office/Hurstville Interpretive Center 563-652-3783 or
email Jessica at jess@jacksonccb.com
