The Jackson County Conservation Board is responsible to acquire, develop, maintain and make
the following available to the inhabitants of the county: public museums, parks, preserves,
parkways, playgrounds, recreational centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation
areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, to encourage
the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship
by providing adequate programs of public recreation.

The five-member board is appointed by the County Board of Supervisors and serves without pay.
Conservation Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month and are open to
the public.

Youth Outdoor Skills Day
Saturday August 16th
9:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Hurstville Fishing Pond

Youth ages 10, 11, & 12 are invited to
participate in this day of outdoor activities!  
Youth will be able to try archery, shooting sports,
canoeing, fishing, kite flying, and campfire
cooking.  Parents welcome to come along.

Cost: $10 (includes food and equipment)

Pre-registration required by August 12th.
