Volunteer Education Intern

Employment Application

Short Description:

This is a part time, summer VOLUNTEER internship position under the general supervision of the Jackson County Conservation Board Environmental Education Coordinator. The volunteer will have a flexible schedule with occasional structured hours to complete assigned programs and tasks.  Upon the satisfactory completion of assigned tasks and a minimum of 300 hours from May - August 2012, a $1,100 stipend will be given. The volunteer will assist with environmental education and interpretation at the Hurstville Interpretive Center and other sites in Jackson County.  Programs will include summer day camps, public programs, youth group field trips and other programs as assigned.  Volunteer will lead youth and adults in conservation and environmental education related activities in indoor and outdoor settings.
