Spruce Creek Park
Two miles north of Bellevue on U.S. 52 and then 1 mile north on 396th Ave. is Spruce Creek Park.
This 43-acre park lies on the banks of the Mississippi River at the mouth of Spruce Creek. The park
contains a boat harbor with 92 dock slips including transient dock spaces. Two concrete boat ramps
are provided for your convenience. There are also 85 camping sites available with electricity, modern
showers and restrooms, a large picnic area, two shelters (available to reserve), a trailer dump station,
and playground equipment. Firewood is available for sale. Contact the conservation office for more

Boat Docks: Boat dock leases run April 1, 2007 - November 1, 2007. Boat

Spruce Harbor Inn - is a restaurant available adjacent to Spruce Creek Park.
Campsites at Spruce Creek Campground right along side the Mississippi River.

Youth Group Camping:
If you are an organized group (ex. Boy Scouts, Church group, 4-H group) you are eligible to apply for a group camping permit. The camping
fee is $1 per youth/adult per night. Groups can be no larger than 25 youths, must have 1 adult for every 10 youths. Group rates are not
effective for holiday weekends. A maximum of 4 sites are available for group camping. Please fill out the permit and return it to our office. If

Picnic Shelter:
There is one picnic shelter available for reservation. A non-refundable shelter reservation fee of $25.00 is required to reserve the shelter.
To reserve a shelter please fill out the form and return it to our office two weeks prior to the reservation date. The shelters may be reserved
by calling 563-652-3783, Monday-Friday 9 am - 4 pm. All shelters are available on a first come first serve basis for free, when not reserved.
The shelter has 8 picnic tables, restroom's & water nearby, electricity and lights. The capacity of the shelter is 50, with limited amount of
parking available. The shelter is available from 6 am - 10:30 pm, April 1 - November 1. Users must abide by all rules and regulations and all
laws of the State of Iowa.
